O presidente da CMB, Mirocles Véras. discursou em defesa do setor filantrópico de saúde, expondo a atual situação de dificuldade que as Santas Casas de Misericórdia vêm enfrentando na 23ª Marcha a Brasília em Defesa dos Municípios. “Há mais de duas décadas, acarreta-se uma crise de déficit entre os hospitais e o SUS, por falta de financiamento. Cerca de 750 de nossos hospitais contrataram empréstimos na ordem de R$ 10 bilhões apenas nas operações garantisses através dos recebíveis do SUS. Atualmente, nós estamos arcando com a saúde pública, sem ter condições”, declarou o presidente da CMB.
O movimento “Chega de Silêncio” também foi mencionado, como um grito do setor filantrópico de saúde para alertar a sociedade e as autoridades dos riscos e do colapso iminente das estruturas hospitalares do SUS. O presidente da CMB concluiu afirmando a importância da parceria entre as Confederações.
